Type:
Tree and hedge works
Status:
Status not known
Address:
72 WEST STREET CROWLAND SPALDING PETERBOROUG
Description:
Notification of works to trees in Crowland Conservation Area. 1. An ash tree in the garden to the rear of 74 West Street, Crowland. The tree is located immediately adjacent to the eastern boundary of the property, and is just beyond the southern end of a boundary wall. The ash tree is currently smothered in ivy, making it hard to distinguish its structure and appears to have been pruned in the past and regrown,it has a very low double trunk. Works proposed: Reduce height and spread by no more than 3-4 metres all round, to form a balanced tree, try to keep as much of the natural branch framework as is possible to add some grace to its appearance. Sever ivy before tree surgery to prevent it from dominating the resulting re-growth. 2. Apple in the south eastern corner of the garden to the rear of 72 West Street, Crowland. The tree is a curious shape with the lower trunk resting on the ground, it has good vigour and is likely to have been pruned in the past to prevent branches from encroaching over the southern fence-line. Works proposed: Top tree, by removing up to 2.0 metres in height, to make the tree more manageable. 3.Line of cypress trees (conifers): On the western boundary of grounds of the property to the rear of 72 West Street. These trees are outside of the Conservation Area. Works proposed: To remove.
