T1 - Oak (Subject to TPO) Target pruning to remove 2 lowest limbs above garden. Branches in question are overgrown epicormic sprouts at approx 3m in height beneath the main canopy. They are impacting the planting beneath the tree. This minor pruning should have no impact on the overall shape and appearance of the tree. HAR/CA34, TPO 117W.T2 - Goat Willow. (Conservation)Fell and remove small self-sown willow from beneath TPO oak, before it starts to merge into the oak canopy.T3 - Cypress sp. (Exempt) Fell and remove dead conifer from rear borderG1 - Elders. (Conservation) Fell and remove pair of self-sown elders from side of property. These trees have established themselves very close to the property and will soon start to cause issues as they touch the masonry and tiles. G2 - (Conservation) Group consisting of 2 yew and 2 cypress in front border. Fell and remove group, with the exception of the centrally located Yew (which is to be reduced in height by up to 2m), to be replaced by new planting of 2-3 broadleaf trees to be allowed to reach maturity. The yews have been exhibiting signs of decline for a couple of years and one is now looking very sparse. The cypresses are reaching a significant height and causing concerns due to their multistem form, with it's inherent weaknesses. We can see no aesthetically pleasing way to reduce the height of the cypresses and also have concerns that should either yew perish and need to be removed, the resulting gaps in the foliage of the cypresses would unsightly and would allow further wind-loading of the canopy above. The client would like to replace the group with a planting scheme of broadleaf species, such as the norway maple in the neighbouring garden, although they would be willing to listen to advice as to the species for the replant.
