Type:
Tree and hedge works
Status:
Status not known
Address:
2 Newark Road Windlesham Surrey
Description:
Oak T1 Remove dead wood, crossing branches or damaged limbs as required. Remove any epicormic growth from main stem and any basal sucker growth. Reduce, reshape and balance by a maximum of 2.0-2.5m, pruning back to previous pruning or suitable growing points. Thin canopy by a maximum of 15-20% removing secondary growth only. Crown lift to provide maximum 5m balanced ground clearance if required.Oak T2 Preferred (safer) option: Remove entirely to the ground level in safe and controlled manner due to the risk of the tree falling over during more frequent and stronger storms. The tree is unbalanced and is growing on the edge of a ditch and risk falling on neighbouring properties. Permission was previously granted in decision notice BE/PW/TP/19/00158 01/76 - Area A1.It would be preferable not to replant on the property due to the existing tree having contributed to subsidence and its risky location on the edge of a ditch, especially in regard to more extreme weather conditions. I am willing to plant a tree in communal woodlands where it doesn't pose any risk to neighbouring properties or persons.Oak T2 Alternative option: Attempt to rebalance (make safer) the tree by pruning back branches to the rear of tree as required. Remove dead wood, crossing branches or damaged limbs as required. Remove any epicormic growth from main stem and any basal sucker growth. Reduce, reshape and balance as required, pruning back the front of the tree to previous pruning or suitable growing points. Crown lift to provide maximum 5m balanced ground clearance if required.

Address:

Description:
I would like to cut down the two oak trees (T1 and T2) that are now much too big for the garden in order to prevent significant changes in the ground and damaging the property. I am willing to plant two other tree elsewhere - perhaps with Surrey Heath's tree planting initiative - but the plot isn't large enough to plant replacement trees that won't interfere with the property. One of the trees (T2) grows precariously right on the edge of a ditch and we previously had permissions to fell it.
