- Description:
- The proposed tree and shrub border between 18 and 7 Little London has become extremely overgrown, this work will aim to restore the border to a smaller size. The area under consideration is marked on a plan by two arrows. The proposed tree and shrub border will be cut back to allow new growth, more light between the houses and to prevent overhanging into the drive of #71 Shrub S1 (a bay) will will be trimmed back and down by 25%2. Tree T2 (a maple) will be slightly trimmed back (25%) and allowed to regrow into the space where:3. Tree T3 (a fir) to be removed entirely4. Tree T4 (a maple) to be reduced in height at the crown by 25%The space between Trees 2 and 4 is already partly filled.4. Tree 4 will be cut back on the garden-side of number 18 by 25% (with the crown reduction as above)5. Tree 5 will be reduced in height by ca33%6 Shrub 6 will be trimmed back and down by ca 33%Overall, there will still be a mixed shrub and tree border between the two houses that retains the existing look and feel. The trees will be reduced in height by about 5m (max) from being approximately 20m tall now. In terms of what will be trimmed from the garden side we estimate this to be about 2m of cut back but that will be dependant on making sure the trees remain of a good shape.
