- Description:
- Pine (T1) - Fell because the lack of development of structural roots doesn't give the tree stability to withstand the stress and strains experienced during growth, this would suggest a poor depth of soil and limiting rooting to the north on the side away from the dwelling. The tree is situated 1 meter from the top of a limestone escarpment, this indicates a reduction in the size of the root system on the northeast aspect of the tree. To the wast, tree roots are lifting the concrete paving within close proximity to the stem, which disturbs the acquisition of water and nutrient intake by the roots and their transmission to other parts of the tree. The first-order dead limb on the southwest extends towards the neighbouring dwellings and seating area in the southern garden, which is used by children, as is the neighbouring garden to the north. Removal of the dead branch would cause large wounds that are open to airborne pathogens and would leave the tree in an asymmetrical, unbalanced condition that is prone to windthrow. Replant with smaller and better amenity tree like Magnolia. There's no access to view the tree from the bottom, please ring to make an appointment for VTA.
