In order for the loft rooms to be workable, it is necessary to raise the existing maximum height of the ridge.This application proposes a revised set of drawings for approval which include the higher roof height - these should be substituted in place of the plans referenced in Condition 2. The proposals have been kept as closely as possible to the original planning approval and with particular attention to keeping the front elevation, onto Wintershill, intact - as this best represents the original cottage. The drawings propose an increase in the total roof height of 700mm and with minor increases to eaves heights in some locations to 'balance' the appearance. 700mm would be the minimum increase which will allow the loft room to function as intended. The 'approved' roof form is shown in red for ease of reference.Please alter Condition 2 to refer to the drawings contained within this application which we propose to substitute in place of the approved drawings.
