Yew trees had major storm damage this weekend One large branch crashing fence with parts landing on neighbours car (fortunately no damage. Another large branch also demolishing part of fence and missing neighbours greenhouse by 1 foot. The remaining high trunks are deemed to be dangerous due to the damage and their exposure. The heavy tops are liable to fall in high winds - this is highly likely to damage neighbour's greenhouse. We have agreed with neighbour and with our insurance company to reduce height of damaged tree to about 15 foot (retaining the main trunks below this height.) Plant to carry out work on the two trees. immediately in accordance with policy on dead, dying and damaged trees.
