The tree is a copper beech tree. It is in my neighbours garden, at the bottom of their garden. However it is right next to the boundary of my garden and their garden.The tree is extremely large and hasn't been maintained for several years. The last time planning permission was sought for this tree was in 2009, 15 years ago. It has been allowed to grow to such proportions that I am now very concerned about this tree potentially falling on top of my house and causing significant damage or injury to my family.On top of this, due to the size of the tree it is now blocking the light in my kitchen for a significant proportion of the day so I have lost my Right to Light.I am applying to reduce the canopy by up to 2m. HAR/CA10.
