Birch (T1) - Reduce height by c4m and crown radius by 1 -1.5m leaving tree c10m high with crown radius of 3 - 3.5m. Tree has thin crown indicative of stress. Where the tree bifurcates are large decay pockets with Dryads saddle decay fungi fruiting. This is a potential failure point for the tree and the reduction inn size will relieve the weight stress on on the structure of the tree at this point. `the resultant smaller crown may reinvigorate the tree as the root system will have less crown to support and supply. The position of the tree overhanging a poplar spot for walkers and cricket lovers increases the risk of resultant injury that any failure of this tree has.
