Description:
T1 False Acacia adjacent to party garden wall (now collapsed) on attached Site Plan (Document 1) In line with approval given under Application No. 21/1774/TC (09 June 2021), localised cutting to remove a previously pollarded stem has been completed to accommodate the rebuilding of the party garden wall between Nos. 18 and 20 Morden Road. This application noted that the need for this work would be finalised as construction detail is put in place near the tree. Following a site meeting with the building contractor it has become clear that additional localised cutting is required to the retained tree to provide the necessary 120mm clearance between the wall and the tree, as recommended by the Arboriculturalist, John Cromar (Document 2). The proposed cutting zone is marked by fluorescent yellow dots on the attached photograph (Document 2), and includes a cut to the base of the tree, and the removal of one stem (14cm diameter).
