Address:
9 Arnold Close Stoke Mandeville Buckinghamshire
Description:
For tree location please see TPO Map and Google Maps file attachments. Reason for work: The tree is excessively large for a garden plot which results in shading to the gardens of No 9 Arnold Close, No 10 Arnold Close and 115 Wendover Road. Background: This application follows on from a previous application and works completed 2020. The works completed in 2020 were not done to the full extent of the permission granted as the Tree Surgeon advised the reduction should be completed in phases. This remaining work pertains mainly to the reduction in height to the level requested in 2020. We would like to reduce the overall height of the tree by 2-3 Metres from where it was previously pruned, so an overall reduction of between 3 to 4.5 metres from the tip of the crown as it stands. This reduction is mainly focussed on the top of the crown rather than the sides.

Tree Type: WalnutINT_ID: 6,109Order Number: 1999 No 9Details of Trees: T1 WalnutApplication type: Crown reduction.Details: -Overview of proposed work: Re-balance the spread of the canopy to approx. 3 meters from the trunk on all sides so it is more even and in line with the shortest side which is restricted by the tree's proximity to No 10 Arnold Close.Remove lower limbs that result in excessive shading to the garden in which the tree sits and neighboring properties as some of the canopy now drapes down to within 2 meters of the ground.Reduce height of the canopy to approx. 10 - 11 meters to reduce excessive shading to the gardens of No 9 Arnold Close and No 115 Wendover Road. The current height of the tree (estimated at 13 - 14 meters) means that the garden of No 9 Arnold close is particularly impacted as the tree is to the southern corner of the garden.Reason for work: The tree is excessively large for the plot which results in severe shading to the gardens of No 9 Arnold Close, No 10 Arnold Close and 115 Wendover Road. The previous owner did not maintain the tree which has led to an imbalance of the canopy with excessive vertical growth to the side of No 10 Arnold Close and a disproportionately wide canopy spread on the opposite side. The tree is now within 20 - 30 cm's of touching both No 10 and No 9 Arnold Close. The tree is in a private garden, closely hemmed in by two adjoining properties (No 9 and No 10 Arnold Close) and therefore provides little local amenity but does severely impact the aforementioned properties and gardens in its current state.
