10 High Street Little Abington Cambridge
Description:
We have a small holly tree approx. 6m tall close to the boundary with our neighbours at 4 High Street. The trunks are within 2m of the boundary fence and part of the canopy overhangs their garden. The tree has a large and growing split/wound in the main trunk which appears to have been caused by disease. It also has a dense and chaotic top-heavy canopy which blocks out a considerable amount of light both for us and the occupants of 4 High Street. The tree is only fully visible to us and three of our neighbours. It cannot be viewed by the general public (aside from a tiny section that is visible through a narrow gap between us and our closest neighbour 12 High Street). Consequently we would like permission to fell the tree and replace it with a something more appropriate to the position such as several small acers or a dwarf birch. We live in a designated conservation area which is why we are making this application. According to maps available via the planning portal the tree is not subject to a TPO. Many thanks for your help.
