When we inspected tree we found that there are signs of rot near and within the butruss roots and there is a obvious hollow sound echoing throughout the stem when a small plastic hammer is used. A tpo can be lifted immediately upon a tree when it is dead dying or dangerous. I would recommend that you seek a site inspection from stockport council as this tree is dangerous and advise that it is removed as soon as possible. I would be more than happy to attend a site meeting with Jim Mcgarrie to highlight the problems with the tree. Please feel free to forward on my details and also this email as supporting evidence.
