Description:
Urgent works to tree - Varied tree surgeon lead crown reduction of oakThis large historically significant tree had lost a very large stem from gale force winds acting on weak areas of the tree.It will be possible to retain what is left of the tree as it appears healthy buth there is a concern it is not structurally robust enough for this. A significant crown reduction is needed across the remaining crown to reduce pressure on retained stems allowing safe retention. It is envisaged that a reduction of approx 2 to 3 metres across the crown is required. However, a flexible approach is requested, as some parts may require a larger reduction if the tree surgeon finds significant weakness within the crown or lesser work may be required on undamaged limbs. The aim will be to keep the trees remaining amenity in all situations. An experienced tree surgeon who is skilled at crown redction is to be employed under the direction of myself.
