- Description:
- 3 Poplars as marked on the attached plan. TPO 12E.Work to be carried out to crown reduce and reshape three Poplars that are situated at the rear of my property in a woodland area. The trees have grown extremely tall and are now dangerous in high winds. Without this work there is concerns for the safety of my property and family in the event of high winds. Work was carried out by the previous owners of the house in 2005 under planning consent number DC015391 which was granted on 16th July 2004. In the twelve years that have passed the trees have now regrown to a dangerous and unacceptable size, this is now causing concern to both myself, my neighbours and the house insurance company. The trees are also blocking light from the rest of my garden which is causing damage to other vegetation and plants in my garden. The land on which the trees are located is not within the formal boundary of my property as per the land registry. I understand from the previous owners that investigations were carried out at the time of the previous planning application (see above) to try and identify the owner however the land registry had no record of a named owner, I can provide the relevant documents in support of this if required. Despite the fact that I do not own the land or trees I am prepared to incur the necessary cost to correctly maintain these in order to reduce the potential risk to my property and family and allay the fears of the insurance company. I would hope that the fact that the ownership is unclear does not prevent consent being granted particularly as it has not in previous applications.Given the existing precedent for a similar application being granted previously for the same reasons as my application I would hope that this application can also be granted.
