My house is situated on the corner of Hillman way and Ferguson close. There is as Hawthorn hedge that runs around my property which was in situ when my husband and I brought the property in 2011. I would like permission to remove the hedge and replace it with either a wrought iron fence or wooden picket fence which would be no more than 1 metre high. I know that I can remove the hedge without permission but my worry is that if I am unable to replace the hedge with some sort of fence then the front garden could be susceptible to people walking across it to get to Ferguson close.
