Planning applications
Planning ref:
January 2023 P/22/0726/2
Type:
Heritage application - conservation issues and listed buildings
Status:
Application withdrawn before a decision was taken
Address:
The Mill Barn, 13 Cropston Road, Cropston, Leicestershire,
Description:
to be checked The proposed solution is to (1) put new joists in the garage above the current joist timbers, (2) board the full garage loft area, (3) with a hatch and timber folding loft ladder for access. We would then (4) put a small doorway in the new block wall for direct access to the existing loft from the new storage space above the garage. There is no intention to have skylights that would require permission to alter the roof (Swithland slate). Airflow will be ensured by not boarding existing timbers. The space would not be habitable, nor usable for any other purpose than additional storage and access to existing storage. There is no impact upon any of the original features of the house, internal or external.
