- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Status not known
- Address:
- 56 Wolseley Road Hornsey London
- Description:
- We are applying to remove two trees on our boundary. The first is marked 1 on the attached plan. It is an elder tree that has two main trunks which were being strangled by ivy which we removed a few years ago. One of the main trunks has become rotten and the whole tree is suckering extensively so we would like to remove it. The second tree is marked 2 on the plan. It is a wild plum tree. It is part of a small thicket which was also growing next door (62 Wolseley Road). That plot is being developed and their wild plum was removed. This has had the effect of causing the tree on our side to sucker extensively which has damaged our pond. It is adjacent to a paved area and the suckers are very vigorous. We are concerned that the nation is not damaged. We already need to re-build our pond. We plan to replant tree 1 with a styrax as soon as possible. This will be suitable for a garden. We plan to replace tree 2 most likely with an amelanchier once we are sure that we have removed all the suckers that are growing.
