Description:
T1 - Lime. Crown lift to create approx 5m clearance above garden by removing epicormic sprouts and sub-lateral, secondary branches. Target prune lowest primary limb extending towards road sign to reduce length by approx 2m, to nearest suitable growth point.T2 - Holly. Trim and shape to remove approx 1m of regrowth from past trimming works. The purpose of the proposed work is to allow more light to penetrate under the canopy of the lime tree and into the garden. The lime and adjacent sycamore dominate the garden, but have recovered from previous pruning to form a good shape. Given the height of the tree and the vigour with which lime can re-grow, we feel the crown lift is a better option than to try to reduce the canopy all round. We will be reducing and shaping the cherry plum beneath the lime tree at the same time, in order to create some separation between the two canopies. The trimming of the holly is for aesthetic reasons, as it currently has formed a quite untidy mass having been previously reduced, but allowed to regrow without further maintenance. We would be intending to leave a much more formal, rounded shape to be trimmed more frequently moving forwards. TPO 116W, TPO 130W.

Description:
Lime (T2), under TPO Ref: 116W, Benja Fold, Bramhall, 1979 - fell because of excessive size and shading and replant with one rowan tree in same position. The rowan is a great tree for local wildlife, as well as attracting bees and beetles for pollination the berries will also attract birds to the garden.
