Due to their close proximity to each other, they are overlapping branches, causing damage to neighbouring trees and restricting growth development of the smaller trees. To prune the taller trees back to where they have previously been pruned in April 2021 and October 2014 and where necessary remove side growth causing damage and restrictions to adjoining trees, while maintaining shape and health of each tree. Two Ash (T1 & T2), two Silver Birch (T3 & T4) and Alder (T6). Request to reduce by 20% secondary branches only and crown thin by 20%. This is to keep them in good order, avoid their becoming too large for the location and close proximity of adjoining trees. They are also now blocking light from us and surrounding neighbours' properties. Many of the limbs and branches have broken off and fallen from the Alder (T5). It also had very little leaf cover during the last two summer seasons. Due to this, we wish to remove this tree. As this tree is in very close proximity (see dimensions on sketch) to Alder (T6) and Silver Birches (T3 & T4) replacement with another tree is not suitable. TPO#: 145E.

Description:
Two Alder's (T1 & T2) in northern corner of rear garden. Request to fell due to their being 52 feet tall and too large for their location. They are within 54 cm of each other which has caused them to grow leaning sideways from each other and out at an angle. This is a hazard and if they fell they could reach the house. Also due to their proximity to each other and a number of surrounding trees, their crowns are high up the trunk so pruning / pollarding back to a reasonable height would only leave the trunk. Also they are blocking light from us and surrounding neighbors properties. No replanting is proposed due to the abundance and close proximity of surrounding trees. Two Ash (T3 & T4) in northern corner of garden. Request to pollard overall height by 25%. This would be back to where they have previously been pollarded and to match the height of surrounding trees. This is to keep them in good order and as they are blocking light from us and surrounding neighbors properties.
