- Description:
- Works to trees in the garden of Leadenham House, Old Main Road, Fleet Hargate, which is within the Conservation Area. Please note that the trees have been subject to very poor pruning in the past which has resulted in much vigorous potentially weakly attached regrowth. Laurel: cut back from shed. Sycamore: remove rubbing branches and crossing ones likely to rub. Birch: reduce canopy by 50% (this to include the height and branches growing towards the house). The tree is infected with white rot, and its stability is therefore in question, the drastic pruning works are to enable some of the tree to still be retained. Ash: carry out a 45% crown reduction above old cuts, remove any rubbing branches. Red Prunus: carry out up to a 50% crown reduction due to fungal infection. False acacia: carry out a 50% crown reduction above old cuts.
