Planning applications
Planning ref:
March 2010 2010/00705/CAC
Type:
Heritage application - conservation issues and listed buildings
Status:
Status not known
Address:
20 Cloncurry Street Londo
Description:
It is proposed to alter the existing pitched, slate clad rear mansard to a vertical, brick faced mansard, to match the existing adjacent vertical mansard to 18 Cloncurry Street. It is proposed to extend the existing flat roof to the rear to accommodate the new vertical mansard. This infill section of roof would be thicker than the existing to accommodate the depth of insulation required to comply with current Building Regulations, but would remain lower than the eaves of the adjacent vertical rear mansard to 18 Cloncurry Street. New timber windows are proposed to the vertical mansard, to match existing adjacent. A Planning Application for a single storey slate clad extension to the rear of the property at second floor level was recently approved (LBHF Ref: 2009/01783). Permission was granted in this Application to raise the existing Party Wall to 18/20 Cloncurry Street by 500mm. This new Application proposes to raise this Party Wall, and the flat roof of the previously approved second floor rear extension, by a further 7 brickwork courses (approximate), to provide sufficient internal floor to ceiling height. Minor revisions are also proposed to the windows and rooflights approved within this previous application. These revisions are detailed further in the enclosed Design and Access Statement.
