- Description:
- D and E on location plan. Fell 2 large Leylandii due to structural damage to boundary wall. Wall and pier cracked and damaged by movement caused by these trees - see photographs. This pier is now becoming structurally unstable and requires rebuilding. As background information, this pier dates to at least the late 19thC forming the entrance to an earlier driveway (see historic photographs attached) confirmed by the visual evidence of the bedding mortar and will require careful dismantling and rebuilding re-using as many of the original bricks as possible and laid and pointed in hydraulic lime mortar. Electrical cables serving this dwelling and telephone cables from adjacent distribution pole serving several dwellings also tangled up with the tree growth. The two leylandii did not exist before the 1970's or 1980's and have grown to their present height since that time, they now overhang the road and pavement and have spread over the house roof causing regular gutter blockage through needle and cone drop. A, B and C on location plan. Raise crown of several trees along Front Street boundary by pruning to maintain vehicle clearance along Front Street, 1 beech, 1 cherry, I laurel, 1 copper beech.
