- 1. To remove later pine lath and plaster ceiling covering from lounge . To renovate the existing between-joist plaster panels. In order to improve the actual head height and impression of space in the room, as well as reinstating the earlier character of the room with exposed beams.2. Excavate front wing fireplace. To remove the current 1960/70s fire surround and investigate earlier fireplaces behind. To record any prior stages of development and refer back to conservation department with any significant discoveries before proceeding.3. Open lounge alcove cupboard to left of chimney breast.Remove the later masonry partition to the left of the chimney breast that creates the cupboard. In order to increase the usable area and increase the sense of space in the lounge. 4. To remove the 1960/70s purple painted brick hearth in the lounge, whilst retaining the earlier timber fire surround. To assess and excavate the cavity according to relevant historical discoveries and refer back to conservation department on how to proceed.5. Remove modern upstairs landing cupboards. 6. Demolish modern masonry wall between kitchen and bathroom. To create one larger room for the kitchen and to allow light from the garden-side window to reach into the whole of the original service bay.7. To remove the plasterboard ceiling in the kitchen and renovate the existing between-joist plaster panels beneath to match the ceiling in the other part of this room (currently the bathroom) In order to improve the actual head height and impression of space in the room, as well as reinstating the earlier character of the room with exposed beams.
