- Description:
- The plant in question is a lilac that has become overgrown - it's questionable whether it's a tree but it's quite large hence seeking approval. The plant is invasive and is spreading across the garden - I am also planning to remove a smaller offshoot which i include I photos and plan around 10 feet from the main plant. I am seeking to dig it out and replace it with a slower growing native tree or bush that will not risk damage to the property and will be supportive of local wildlife.I am adding this additional section to the resubmission of my previous planning request. in lieu of the larger plant I would specifically intend to plant an ilex aquifolium, and am content with the requirement it be e.g. a 6cm trunk. For the smaller lilac, the space between my neighbours shed and a mature elder tree is very limited (3m width approximately) and I am requesting specific approval for a Euonymus europaeus to be planted in its place, and that you not require this plant to be any particular size - I would propose to plant something around 90cm in height and shape it as it grows into the space. This plant is more appropriate for the available space and unlikely to cause issues on the slope. It still meets the proposal for a native species to be used.
