Raised decking to provide access to the rear and to connect with current rear and side house extension works (application number DC/067287). Ground floor level is higher than the level in the garden, we want to make this safer than constructing 6/7 concrete steps for access directly from bi-fold doors, especially as it is a family house and we have a baby on the way. Also, 6/7 steps would extend further into the garden than a 2m depth deck. We plan to erect a 2m depth and 1.1m high raised deck with glass balustrade with steps onto a smaller deck at the side with further steps into garden.
