Beech (T1)- Crown reduceby approximately 2m, equating to approximately 15% by crown volume. Raise crown to maintain a consistent 6.5m level by removing 2x small rising stems from base of tree on south side. Remove single, large, poorly pollarded stem within the centre of the tree, thereby freeing eastern stem. Trim epicormic growth arising from poorly cut pollard points on north side of tree. Clean crown of dead and crossing branches. Birch (T2) Fell to ground level and remove. T2 is coincident with and dominant over a semi-mature Ilex acquifolium pyramidalis which is to be retained and improved through formative pruning. T2 has a lean to the south south-east of 18.5 degrees from the vertical, probably as a result of sustained growth within the canopy line of T1. Leylandii (G1)- Fell to ground level and remove. Applicant intends to replant with deciduous hedging, either Fagus sylvatica or Carpinus betulus, thereby maintaining the current screening from neighbouring properties.
