- Description:
- Scots Pine (ref. 1)A large branch from this tree on the night of 17/18 January 2018 came down in the wind and damaged the roof and gutter of No. 17 Glebe Court. Smaller debris fell in the public path. Currently the tree has a large broken branch at the top held only by other branches. There is also visual evidence that other branches are in the same state as the one that damaged 17 Glebe Court. The tree is a danger to the public because of its location next to the footpath that is well used. The only safe option is to fell the tree. IN THE INTERIM CAN YOU PLEASE CLOSE THE FOOTPATH BETWEEN GLEBE COURT GATE AND CHURCH ROAD.Scots Pine (ref.2)On the same night as Scots Pine (ref 1) a smaller branch fell from this tree and caught in overhanging branches above the footpath. As these two Scots Pines are of the same age then there is a high risk of branches falling from Scots Pine (ref 2) in a gale. The risk to public safety is high and we request to fell this tree. IF THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE CAN YOU PLEASE FORMALLY WRITE RELEASING US OF THE RESPONSIBILITY OF LIABILITY SHOULD ANY ACCIDENT OCCUR.
