Planning applications
- Planning ref:
- May 2020 DC/076503
- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Application approved
- Address:
- 1A Napier Road Heaton Moor Stockport
- Description:
- The tree is a Lyme tree located to the side of my property within the boundary of my back garden. It is approximately 20m back from the roadway and obscured by hedgerows / other trees. The tree is approximately 4m tall in the trunk and 10m tall overall and overhangs both my garden and my neighbour's detached garage (1 Napier Road), which it closely adjoins. I am not aware of the tree currently being subject to a TPO and so am applying on the basis of my location within the Heaton Moor conservation area. I am requesting permission to fell the tree on the basis of excessive shading to my garden, proximity to my Neighbour's garage (and associated drop of leaves, sap and other matter onto their roof as well as my garden). The tree has limited aesthetic value to my property or the street in general, being set well back from the road behind my garden fence and so only really affects me and my neighbour. There are a large number of other trees / tall shrubs close to it on my Neighbour's side and on Napier Road so removal would not have a material impact on the overall look or feel of the area. I have attached photographs of the tree taken from my back garden and Napier Road along with a satellite image showing the location of the tree on my property. HAR/CA15
