- Address:
- Sheads 7 High Street Whittlesford Cambridge Cambridgeshir
- Description:
- CONSERVATION AREA: 2 ash trees of low amenity value in front garden adjacent to High Street growing underneath and into telegraph wires. To be felled. Replant with shorter tree/shrubs. 1 beech tree in front corner adjacent to High Street and neighbouring house number 9. Top is also reaching telegraph wires. Plan to cut tree to hedge height (approx 2 metres) and maintain at this lower height. Alternatively might remove completely but only if tree surgeons recommend to do so rather than merely reducing height.

- Type:
- Tree and hedge works
- Status:
- Status not known
- Address:
- Sheads 7 High Street Whittlesford Cambridge Cambridgeshir
- Description:
- A mature ash tree is growing adjacent to the rear right-hand corner of the house (as viewed from road). Our surveyor recommended removing this and other trees/shrubs clustered around it in order to protect the house and we wish to follow this advice. A fir tree is growing close to the garage at the front left hand side of the garage as viewed from the road. Our surveyor suggested removing this tree also. We may also wish to fell a row of conifers (dense hedging) in the back garden along the boundary with number 9. We are consulting a tree surgeon regarding work to remove these trees. We will speak to the neighbours also as the trees in question are adjacent to the boundaries of the garden. We believe the Council's consent is required since the garden is in a conservation area so we would be grateful to hear from you as to whether it is ok to proceed with these works.
