Reduce length of small lateral branch directly above by 1 metre. Reduce lateral spread of the over-extended lateral to south-west by 2.5 metres. Reduce lateral spread of remaining crown by tip reduction to west by 1.5 metres to grade-in and balance. Reduce lateral spread of crown by tip reduction to north and east by 1.5 metres to balance.Ensure that all branches above Defect 1(of Writtle Forest Report) at 8 metres are reduced in length by approx. 1.5metres and that any separate branches providing support to these branches are retained. Prune T1 Cedar, located at the front of the property, according to the following specifications:Reduce the lateral growth by up to 2.5m and thin the crown by 15%Crown raise to provide at least 5.5m clearance over the road.Remove 2 x dead limbs and large diameter deadwood through out the crown.To maintain the extent of the lateral spread over the highway and towards the property for safety reasons.Apply non-invasive bird repellant gel to T1 Cedar to help suppress bird fouling. A small amount of the gel is placed on a plastic dish, the dish is held in place on the branch by means of garden twine, or zip ties.This is then checked periodically firstly to ensure the branch is not being garrotted, and also to top up the gel if necessary.
