Type:
Tree and hedge works
Status:
Status not known
Address:
23 Nuns Road Winchester Hampshire
Description:
URGENT - mature willow at end of garden - fell because tree roots are rotten and tree is leaning/ growing into outbuilding causing damage to the roof. Tree is at risk of falling into the building and causing significant damage to property and persons. Our tree surgeon - Romsey Tree Surgeons Limited - has confirmed that the roots are severely decayed which has caused the tree to suddenly start leaning dangerously. Please see photos for evidence of damage already caused. The tree needs to come down before the next storm, otherwise it presents significant risk to property and persons. Given the urgency, and the risk to people and property, we kindly ask that the council takes a pragmatic view and authorises the immediate removal of the tree. We are concerned that if there is a delay for receipt of reports and consultation this may have catastrophic consequences. If you wish to inspect the tree you can do so from council property at the back of the garden, but we are also available at short notice to grant access for inspection.
