APPLICATION FOR WORKS TO PROTECTED TREE(S)TPO 1453/2012, T25 T1291, Oak - Soil amelioration - Remove any remaining demolition material and other non-organic matter. Use air-spade (vertically into ground) or Terravent type machine to treat soil on a 1m matrix across the area. Once complete dress the area with top-soil to required level, or mulch with 200mm good quality organic mulch. Fence off area, as shown, until construction is complete. Reducing the lowest limb on the south side back to the upright growth point 0.5m towards the stem as shown in figure 3 below.Then, in order to balance the crown, I would recommend trimming the remaining canopy on the south side branches back by 2-3m to suitable growth points. Where branches overhang the parking bays I would also recommend these are reduced by 2-3m to suitable growth points.I would also recommend to crown lift the tree to 4-5m by trimming small diameter branches. Remove all deadwood.
