Status:
Status not known
Address:
Brook Cottage 17 Cambridge Road Madingley Cambridge Cambridgeshir
Description:
1. Sycamore - Fell because: Roots causing damage to stream bank - potential damage to this waterway and therefore increased risk of flooding to the adjacent Grade II property. Less support for the tree on the bank side of roots creates risk that tree will fall onto/damage adjacent Grade II listed building. Excessive shading of garden. The tree also crowds a lovely old oak beside it which is visible from the road/does enhance the local environment. There are a further 5 large sycamore trees in close proximity. 2. Sycamore - Prune parts overhanging the property from the adjacent wood. The tree is leaning over the stream creating potential damage to this waterway and therefore increased risk of flooding to the adjacent Grade II property. 3. Three 60ft Leylandii. They block all light to the only south facing wall in the garden. Remove and replant with fruit trees. 4. Greengage. Remove. Growing under the Grade II listed property. Already causing buckling to the building and the fence it is adjacent to. Replant other fruit trees close - but further away from the property (in place of the Laylandii mentioned above).
