Description:
1. We have 3 very large silver birch trees in our front garden that have become too large for the plot and we are concerned that their roots may cause damage as they are lifting flags. We wish to reduce and reshape by 20% secondary branches only and crown thin by 20%. My neighbour at 12 Devonshire Park Road as already applied to carry out work on his 3 silver birch trees and this application has been accepted. Ref DC/077069.It is in our interests to keep a soft border, but these are 14ft inside our border and just a nuisance. We plan to maintain a high line with number 8a and still above number 14. The idea is to shape the silver birch tree's rather than removal.2. In addition and adjacent to the silver birch trees I have 4 very large deciduous trees (Lime, Horse Chestnut, Beech and Sycamore) which also need to be reshaped by 20% secondary branches only and crown thin by 20 - 30%. These trees are also becoming too large and a nuisance and are becoming to big for the property. The Horse chestnut is not being allowed to grow properly due to the size of the tress at either side of it and may even need to be completely removed altogether.3. Lastly, I have 13 Leylandii at the back of the property which also need reducing by 30%. These are becoming too large for the property and are preventing light from entering the garden. All work will retain the relaxed style that suits the conservation area objectives. HAR/CA9, TPO#: 60E.
