Description:
Felling of "Grafted" Apple/Pear Hybrid. This tree is growing against the wall of 12 The Green, Great Horwood on the driveway side. This building is grade II listed.Reason(s) for removal: This wall has experienced previous structural movement. The foundations for buildings of this type and age are limited. Removal will help to keep the wall in a stable condition. This wall is experiencing high levels of damp penetration. Root stock is known to hold significant levels of moisture and this is transferred to the base of the traditional solid wall construction leading to damp penetration.Phased crown reduction, leading to removal of Yew.This Yew tree is very close to the rear of the house. Quote from building surveyors report "There is a large tree very close to the rear of the property and this is within influencing distance of the building and is a potential risk to the structural integrity of the property. It would be appropriate to draw up a programme of reduction and phased removal."This work has been discussed and planned with a local Arborist who looks after the other trees at this address. They indicate that it is best carried out over 2/3 years.
