- Type:

- Description:
- They have now grown into trees of a significant size, and will potentially grow until they are double this. Unfortunately if the trees were to be weakened in a storm, or in some other way, they could represent a risk to The Barn. They have been planted too close together so they are becoming intertwined. And the trees are now so large they dominate the gardens of Weston House and The Barn. To help reduce the risk to health and safety, and for the benefit of the trees, and our gardens, we have developed a proposal with the owner of the trees (Mr Charles Annandale) to actively manage them. We are proposing to thin each of them by 50% and to reduce the crown by 50%.

- Description:
- The trunk of the tree (T4 in the schematic) has been split for some time but it has recently worsened by getting longer and wider, possibly as a consequence of the recent storm. It is now about 80cm long and about 6mm wide at the widest point. We have been advised to have the tree felled before it falls onto our neighbour's property and causes any damage to their garage, house or cars.At the same time we need to have the walnut tree (T3 in the schematic) reduced by 50% in diameter, as its branches now significantly overhang the neighbouring property. We already have a number of trees so we do not have any plans to replace the Ash tree.

- Description:
- We inherited a number of trees in our garden which are not really suitable for the size of the plot. As they have matured they have begun to dominate and overwhelm the house, our garden and also extend into our neighbour's garden. We have applied on a regular basis to have one tree in particular (T1 on the schematic) reduced and thinned. However we now need to have work carried out on the other trees in the garden. The work we require is as follows:T1 - BeechReduce the crown by 50% and thin by 50% by taking out several of the major branches/trunks within the treeT2 - Canadian MapleReduce the crown by 50%T3 - WalnutCut off any branches over hanging The BarnT4 - Silver BirchCut down the tree. This is too close to it's immediate neighbour, is nearing the end of its natural life and its trunk is splitT5 - not sure of speciesRemove any branches which overhang The Barn and are touching their property
