Rear garden Holmfield House 12 Station Street Donington Spaldin
Description:
Works to improve the safety of a large mature horse chestnut tree that had been damaged in high winds. The tree is in the garden of Holmfield House, 12 Station Street, Donington, adjacent to the eastern fence line which forms the boundary with Brewer's Court; and is within Donington Conservation Area. Notification to reduce the second stem of the tree by approximately 50%, and reshape the remainder to balance. The tree had two main stems one had snapped in the wind, the other was then left very exposed, the severe reduction was needed to balance the remainder of the canopy, to help reduce the likelihood of further major damage by high winds.
