Description:
All four households 1-4 Turton Gardens experience severe difficulties with the trees: 1. Loss of light in garden through excessive shading. 2. Damage to grass and other plants beneath the trees, due to excessive shading and water take up. 3. Damage to grass and other plants beneath due to excessive leaf fall and rotting. 4. Damage to property within the gardens as a result of sap fall. 5. Infestation, in particular, by wasps and flies during summer months as a result of attraction to tree sap. The last approved pollard of the remaining trees took place in April 2016 and, since this time, the trees have again grown excessively resulting in an exponential increase in the problems outlined. The proposed management work seeks to limit and manage these effects, whilst respecting and maintaining the amenity value of the trees, recognised by the issue of the TPO
