Description:
There is a Yew tree in our garden which we would like to prune. One reason is that pigeons are roosting in it and leaving 4 patches of excrement on our lawn where our 2 small children play.It is around 10 metres (m) high and we would like to cut it back to 5m. Cutting it back to 5m would reduce the crown spread to approx 4m from 9m. This would get rid of the branches where the pigeons are roosting and make it easier for us to put deterrents (such as a fake owl). We are told that in the middle of the tree there was an arch cut and a swing put in. We would like to do this also. This would not affect the height or width.
