- Status not known
- Address:
- The Belfry Basingstoke Road Kings Worthy
- Description:
- Six Cyprus Lawson Trees (two groups of three, on each side of the garden, as per the sketch plan submitted). None of these trees are protected by a preservation order. Trees 1,2 and 3: fell because of excessive shading of neighbour's garden, which is full of trees that are being negatively impacted by the Cyprus Lawsons; and because of low amenity value and draining the soil of moisture and nutrients, making it hard to grow other plants. Plan to replace with fruit trees. Trees 3,4 and 5: fell because excessive shading of our garden, and removal of moisture and nutrients from other plants; and very close to neighbour's house, with branches overhanging their skylights, causing shading. Plan to replace with at least two deciduous trees, probably a hawthorn and a silverbirch. The three trees are too tightly planted together to replace with three healthy trees.
