Removal of sand and cement render to both that is trapping moisture; replacement of badly spalled bricks with period bricks of the same size and type to maintain structural integrity using lime mortar; re-render in lime plaster to restore existing aesthetic and allow wall to breathe therefore reducing further deterioration; replace facing of modern bricks with same period bricks of the original size and colour on the pillars of drawing room inglenook fireplace to restore original aesthetic.
