- Ash Tree Cottage 43 Eastgate Stree
- Description:
- Letter from: Ravencroft Arboricultural Services The mature apple within the rear garden which has been subject to some significant reduction of its main structure in past years has since developed a secondary crown. This is still making reactive growth which is excessive for a tree of this age but as a result of the previous limb removal. We propose in addition to removing some of the side lateral crown towards your new shed, to alleviate conflict between tree and building, the remaining crown shall be subject to around 40% reduction to selectively reduce the extending crown form, pruning back to suitable sub lateral growth points to make a more compacted and slower crown habit. The inner crown has many crossing, rubbing branches, these shall be selectively thinned to reduce those which should be pruned at this stage of maturity.
