Description:
Lombardy Poplars trees in rear garden (to the South of the property) This application is for the removal of 2 Lombardy Poplar trees as per the recommendation of the attached Arboriculturalist report. Tree Species: Lombardy Poplars Numbers used on location plan: T1 & T2 Description of the proposed works: Tree removal and stump grinding Reason for the work: see conclusions and recommendations of arboriculturalist report as below: 5 Conclusions and Recommendations 5.1 A tree condition survey of two Lombardy Poplars has been carried out at 2 Mead Gardens, Hartley Wintney, RG27 8NR. The locations of both trees have been plotted on the location plan at Appendix 1. 5.2 Both trees are considered to have internal decay to fluting on their respective lower main stems. This decay poses and abnormal risk of the trees failing because it has potentially weakened the structure of the trees. 5.3 Consideration has been given to reducing the canopies of both trees however this is considered impractical due to the upright canopy forms and the exposure of large wounds. 5.4 The removal of both trees is deemed to be reasonable and proportionate to manage the abnormal risk to persons and property. 5.5 Due to trees being dynamic biological organisms that can be affected by environmental factors the observations and recommendations contained in this report remain valid for one year. Proposal for replanting: Happy to replant an alternate species in a more suitable location.
