The structural engineer has recommended that I remove all large trees/shrubs within 5m of the house, including this tree. The tree is also mainly dead, having been strangled by ivy. It is aesthetically unpleasing and shades my garden and my neighbour's. I would like to plant a dwarf apple tree further from the house to replace it.
