- Description:
- Tree Species - Prunus cerasifera following observations of condition of tree and suggested recommendations made in a report 19th May (167 Sheen Road Tree Works Schedule 19May2022.pdf) by Paul Billin Chartered Arboriculturist paul@billintreesolutions.co.uk Condition/Observations Co-dominant stems, 3No, with an included union at 0.3m AGL. All stems have vertical cracks with deep crevices and decay within. The stems have previously been topped at 3.1-3.3m AGL, with poor secondary regrowth. The tree is exhibiting very poor structural form. The tree is in poor physiological condition, possibly due to drought stress. There are signs of severe decline, with considerable loss of leaf density There is no long term benefit achieved by retaining the tree. Recommendations Fell to ground level and remove all arisings. Stump grinding, remove arisings and replace with new topsoil. Replant with small to medium sized tree, to maintain the local amenity. Replacement tree to be chosen from the suggested list in Appendix 1, or similar as agreed with Tree Officer e.g. Pleached Holm oak
