Description:
The tree in question is a conifer (probably Norway spruce) that looks to have been planted approximately 20 years ago, with a small bank of mixed trees planted to create a barrier from the road to the modern agricultural buildings. The buildings are now redundant and a scheme has been approved for the conversion of the other traditional buildings into domestic dwellings. The majority of the modern agricultural buildings are to be removed in this scheme. As part of the conditions on the approval for the conversion of scheme, some of the existing trees in this part of the small bank have already been removed for the new vehicular access to the site. The tree we wish to remove, is planted close to The Byre (to be converted to the domestic dwelling) and in the area where the foul drainage connection is required by Thames Water to the mains in the road. Therefore, the removal of this tree both in terms of the ability to convert the buildings as per the approved scheme and the long term problems this tree will create to the converted building, in this instance is required. We would be prepared to replant a tree elsewhere on the site as indicated on the enclosed plan.
