Description:
I am writing for permission to run a new gas pipe feed from my gas meter to my boiler. My current gas pipe no longer complies with building regulations when it comes to installing a combination boiler as the original pipe is too thin. Currently, my hot water is fed by an old water cylinder and standard boiler, which does not supply sufficient water pressure to any of the water outlets in the property. After having multiple plumbers/engineers out to assess the water pressure, a combination boiler has been the proposed solution which entails the installation of a thicker 22mm copper gas pipe feed. As this is a block of apartments, all gas meters are located outside, on the ground floor of the building. The new gas pipe will run from the gas meter, up to the second floor where it will enter my apartment from the outside. It will pass Flat 2 and Flat 4 before reaching my property - Flat 6. As this will be positioned at the side of the building, away from public roads/pavements, it will not compromise the visual impact of the building.
