- Description:
- T1 large leylandii - Fell and replace with more suitable trees that will be aesthetically pleasing and better for wildlife. The tree is growing behind the garage., it is starting to impinge in the garage and is overshadowing all the surrounding plants. It is also starting to block out light from some of the rooms in the house. We would look to replace this tree with 3 3m tall purple leaved silver birches in the front garden (which currently has no trees). We would also like to use the area where the leylandii currently is for Hazel and willow coppice. The willow (10 plants grown from whips) will be coppiced annually (for biodegradable plant supports) and the Hazel (10 plants grown from whips) will be coppiced on a 5 year cycle for fencing and staking. The coppice area will increase biodiversity and allow an area of the garden for early spring flowering plants to grow without the risk of being overshadowed.
