They have grown and have meshed together.The trees are now approximately 2.5 meters in height, and some may (just) be over 7.5cm trunk diameter at 1.5m from the ground.The trees are not visible from the road or, to our knowledge, any other property. A TPO does not protect them, but the property is in a conservation area. They are close to the retaining wall that separates the back of the patio from the raised garden and are within 3m of the property. Our property surveyor suggested they present a risk to the stability of the retaining wall and, therefore, a safety risk. They also block a considerable amount of light from reaching the back windows of the property.We intend to fell the trees and remove the root system. This will be carried out by a registered tree surgeon (Upperwood Tree Services).
